What we collect and why
When you browse
- Your cart. The products and quantities in your cart are saved in your browser’s local storage so your cart survives a page reload. It contains no personal information and never leaves your device until you check out.
- Security and delivery logs. Our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. To limit repeated attempts on checkout and order lookup, we keep a one-way scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address for up to one day — never the address itself.
When you order
- Contact details (name, email, and phone number if you give one) — to confirm your order, send status emails and answer questions.
- Payment details — entered directly on Stripe’s secure checkout page. We never see or store your full card number; we only receive the payment result and limited details such as the card brand.
- Order details — what you bought, prices, delivery method, and the status of your order.
When you contact us
If you email us, we use your message and email address to reply and to help with your order.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that run the store, and only what each one needs:
- Stripe — payment processing, fraud prevention and receipts.
- Cloudflare — website hosting, security, and storage of our order records.
- Resend — sending order emails such as confirmations and pickup updates.
Each provider handles data under its own privacy terms. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our customers, our business or others from fraud. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Cookies and similar technologies
We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies. The site uses your browser’s local storage for your cart, and Stripe sets cookies on its own checkout page to process payments securely. See our cookies & storage notice for the full list.
How long we keep it
- Order records are kept as long as we need them for fulfillment, customer support, and our tax and accounting obligations.
- We can delete the customer details on a completed order when you ask us to, except where we must keep records by law. Payment records held by Stripe are kept under Stripe’s own retention rules.
How we protect it
The site uses HTTPS everywhere. Order records are stored in a private database that only the store owner can reach, after signing in. Our systems are built not to log personal information, and payment details stay with Stripe.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to records we must keep). Email hello@mamaleeselderberry.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law.
Children
This site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and its effective date.
